Every cake needs a stand and this one will help to create a fabulous vision. This cake stand and 2 bling risers/layers can be rented out as a set or rented individually.
Raise the Cake specializes in one-time use stands, however, this very special cake stand was made as a rental to meet the high demand for sparkling rhinestone accessories. It is made from the finest Swarovski crystals and is perfect for making a smaller cake look larger. It can be done with four tiers or three smaller tiers. The 2 risers are what makes this stand unique, the rhinestones make it appear as if the cake layers have been covered in rhinestones making the cake look twice its size! Pretty fabulous! Happy Wedding Planning!
Love this idea for the upcoming Fall Weddings
This is a hand carved, one of a kind creation on a “faux” pumpkin…the kind you see at Michael’s in the Fall. The carves last a lifetime and work perfectly at a wedding. The names and wedding date are also carved in the back of the pumpkin. Some other ideas would be to use smaller pumpkins on the guest tables and have them carved with table numbers or table names…what a creative idea. Fab 40’s is super hot right now and where better to create that theme than Palm Springs. You can feel the ‘Brat Pack – old Hollywood vibe’ as you meander down the street. While searching for a few more destination wedding locations to introduce our couples we’ve found a gem…the Riviera Resort and Spa in Palm Springs. The Riviera has been transformed with a 70 million dollar rejuvenation and the “Hollywood Regency” style is cool, chic and sophisticated. While they continue to honor this iconic hotel’s storied past and grand history, the revitalization has put the Riviera on the map as Palm Spring’s premiere destination resort. A wedding at the Awahnee in Yosemite…beautiful!
I recently talked to a couple and they were genuinely concerned about offending family…you see the bride and groom’s families live in two different states and each parent would like the wedding ceremony in their hometown. I went through many options of having the main event in one location and then having a separate reception or even a second ceremony in the other state, but to no avail. The couple is just certain that someone will feel slighted…so my answer was let’s do a destination wedding! The problem has been solved – everyone will be travelling, and now we just have to find a perfect spot. Keep an eye out for some great destination location finds in the next few weeks. Happy Wedding Planning!
If you’re having an outdoor wedding you may want to consider having a cigar cart. Make sure you have ashtrays, cutters & lighters on the cart. We like to add an after dinner cocktail like Port, and chocolates are always a nice touch. It’s a fun place to have a bowl or vase of personalized matchbooks too. You can also order personalized cigar bands (see below)….fun! Happy Wedding Planning!

It’s not often that my younger assistants (my children, Brycen & Logan) get to do anything for the “family business” other than loading votives and counting invitations. On this incredible day, we had the the honor of working with someone instrumental in my boys life, their past nanny. Becky lived with us for 2 years when my children were younger and she happened to meet her future husband then…and we approved! Congratulations Becky & Doug!
The 40’s glam look is smokin’ and big beautiful hair flowers will complete the look. Make sure your flower is perfect…all night long. These clay flowers are made specifically for you and will continue to look fresh for years to come. Check out Estiloweddings.com!
The perfect shot that looks like it belongs on the cover of a magazine…I personally think we often get many of these, but I remember Sam taking this photo and flipping the camera to me and saying “It’s a Cover!”… fabulous. Great job Sam from Sharpe Photographers and a beautiful day Becky & Doug! Happy Wedding Planning!
Some of the venues we are considering say they provide a wedding coordinator. Why would I need another coordinator?
Answer:
A site coordinator is quite different from a private wedding planner. A private wedding planner is working for you from the time you hire them until the completion of the wedding. They are hired by the bride and groom so their allegiance is with the bride and groom. A site coordinator is very important and valuable, but they are working for the site, paid by the site and making sure that everything at the venue runs well. For the most part they are concerned with the setup of the venue and the meal service. As you begin planning you will see that the venue is just one small part of the overall wedding. Here are a few thing that would set a private planner apart…you may want to see if the venue coordinator does any of them.
