Capitol City

We are so fortunate to live in Sacramento, the capitol of California.   There are so many fun places to visit and see while you are in SacTown and I find that many guests love to plan a vacation here when invited to a wedding.  We have some great hotels downtown.  We also have Old Sac and many museums and galleries.  As many of you know I love outdoor events, but sometimes Sacramento weather isn’t conducive to spending 5 to 6 hours outdoors in our extreme months like July and August.  It is reasonable to have an outdoor ceremony though and then bring everyone in to the a/c for the reception.   One of my favorite locations is Sacramento’s Capitol Park.  There are many beautiful areas within the park to have a ceremony.  It is easy to bring in rental chairs and the actual park rental is free with a permit from the CHP.  Here is the new map of Capitol Park so you can see its many ceremony locations.  If you need a larger copy, just let me know.  Happy Wedding Planning!
